Rebellion

Since everyone and their mother decided to log on yesterday and say happy mothers day, I decided to rebel and do it today.

Mom,
I love you.

We had a mothers day program for my 2nd graders on friday. Here's a few things they did:

"Mothers day is almost here,
So some songs we bring.
Love you is the chorus,
Happily we sing.
When we looked this morning on the calendar
There sunday was a shining
Just because of her.
If only we could tell her
All our love so true
surely we'd be singing all the whole year through"

and bad times

We also read them I'll love you forever and said why our moms are special.

My mom is special because:
She lets me mooch off of her and she likes it:]
She shares her computer and her blogging wisdom with me.
she loves kyle almost more than I do haha

We also sang a lollipop song which was quite exciting. it reminded me of popcorn popping on the apricot tree

"one fine day in early spring,
I played a funny trick.
out in the yard behind my house
I planted a lollipop stick
then every day i watered it well
and watched it carefully
i hoped one day that stick would grow to be a lollipop tree!

Hahaha! Hohoho!
What a sight to see!

Then one day I woke to find
a very lovely sight!
a tree all full of lollipops had grown in the dark of night!
I sat beneath that wonderful tree
and looked up with a grin
and when i opened up my mouth
a pop would drop right in!

what a place to be!

Winter came and days grew cold
as winter days will do!
on my tree my lovely tree not one little lollipop grew
from every branch an icicle hung
the twigs were bare as bone
but when i broke the icicles off
they turned to ice cream cones!
