I keep seeing all these new crafts using book pages to make wreaths and banners and what not. And my oh my are they gorgeous.
BUT
I don't think I have the soul to do that to my books. It doesn't matter if it is the most boring book in the world, somebody put their time and effort into that book hoping that somebody would love it... I don't think I could ever do something like that to a book.... shame. maybe I'll try newspaper instead.

At the same time, you could argue that you are putting better use to the book. For example, I used a book that I did NOT like and I took the pages and made a wreath. Now I see it EVERYDAY on my wall and it makes me smile, rather than have it sit on my bookshelf, never to be read again. I do understand your point though :)

I want to see a picture of these book wreaths. I can also sympathize with you. But then again, I did take some horrible textbooks out in the desert and used them for target practice...
