Mad Funnel Cake

Last night during my photo class funnel cake was brought up. After that I HAD to have some. So I found the recipe online, and last night at 10 pm after I got out of class, my darling husband and I made some

MAD FUNNEL CAKE
mad funnel cake

1 cup water
6 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup flour
4 eggs
veg oil - frying
powdered sugar - topping

boil water sugar butter and salt together in a saucepan. add flour and work it until it is incorporated and forms a doughball. Transfer mixture to a standing mixer bowl and let cool 3-4 min. With mixer on lowest speed add in eggs 1 at a time making sure the first is completely incorporated before continuing. once all the eggs have been added and the mixture is smooth, put dough into a piping bag with a no. 12 tip or into a plastic baggie with a corner cut off. heat about 1 1/2 inches of oil into a heavy pan. pipe dough into oil making a free form lattice pattern, cook until browned, flipping once. remove cake from oil, drain on paper towel, and top with powdered sugar. continue until all batter is used.

I loved it. And you should too.

Awe thanks for the comment... Things have been so busy with moving back to Phoenix, and completing my MBA I havent had time to work on the photography! I figure I am going to finish my degree, get a digital camera, and take a night class to learn the camera and the editing. I just dont know where I will find the time. I am loving your new photoshoots... Mary is actually going to take our pictures in 3 weeks. I cannot wait. :) This time we are going to get our dogs in the pictures.
